The Quiksilver Pro Junior presented by Durban is an ASP Grade 2 surfing event that attracts the best junior surfers in South Africa under the age of 20. The event consists of an ASP U20 Pro Junior division, an U16 King of the Groms division, an U14 division, an U12 division and a Future Stars development division. The event is staged at Durban’s North Beach and will take place over the Easter weekend with the finals on Sunday afternoon (24 April). There is a total of R70 000 in prize money in the Pro Junior division. 2010 saw Shaun Joubert from Mossel Bay win the event ahead of Umhlanga Rocks’ Beyrick de Vries. Beyrick will be a firm favourite going into the 2011 edition of the event.
