Dear Surfing South Africa
It pleases us to confirm that your federation has been nominated in the
'Sport Federation of the Year' category at the 6th annual gsport Awards,
held early August each year by the gsport ... for Girls! Initiative to
advance the cause of promoting South African women in sport.
Your nomination flows from the fact that, for this new Award category,
gsport decided to nominate the 10 leading sports federations, as rated by
the number of sports reports for each sporting code published on the
Gsport website.
It has been an honour for us that your federation has trusted gsport with
your news releases and photos, and we are proud to support your substantial
effort in promoting women's sport in our country.

Voting has been ongoing at the gsport website since early Saturday morning, and we intentionally delayed informing you of this fact, as we wanted to
see which federation was quickest off the mark via the gsport website.
Early honours go to the South African Hockey Association, which has posted
news of its nomination on its website, and has urged its followers on social
media platforms to vote for it at the gsport website.
Voting will continue at the gsport.co.za website until 8am on Monday, 25
July, and we look forward to welcoming a representative of women's sport
from the winning Federation, at the gsport Awards, on 1 August.
gsport will be delighted to promote any mentions in support of your
federation on social media, just tag @gsport4girls (facebook and twitter)
(and use the #gsportAwards hashtag on twitter) to promote participation
by your federation.
